Avinash George is an experienced operations leader currently serving as the General Manager of Operations at Ackermans since July 2022. Prior to this role, Avinash held various positions at Clicks Group from November 2018 to July 2022, including Operations Manager for Pharmacy and Retail, and was a member of the Clicks Group Transformation Forum. Avinash's earlier experience includes management roles at Edcon from March 2012 to November 2018 and a Learning and Development Manager position at Shoprite/Checkers Group from March 2008 to February 2012. Additionally, Avinash has experience in human resources and education, having worked as an HR Consultant and part-time lecturer at Nelson Mandela University. Avinash holds a Senior Manager Development Programme degree in Strategy from Stellenbosch Business School and a B-Tech in Human Resource Management from Nelson Mandela University. Further professional development includes ongoing education at Assessment College of SA and Team Consultants.
