Aaron M. Shew

Aaron M. Shew serves as the Vice President of Data Science at Acres, leading data science and engineering efforts for the company's platform. Previously, Aaron held the position of Data Science Director at both Acres and AcreTrader, where a focus on big data engineering, data modeling, and geospatial data analysis was prevalent. In academia, Aaron contributes as an Adjunct Professor and was an Assistant Professor of Agricultural Economics at the University of Arkansas, where responsibilities included research and management roles. Aaron's background also includes postdoctoral research at the USDA Agricultural Research Service, a graduate research fellowship, and leadership roles in agricultural development projects overseas. Educational accomplishments include a Ph.D. in Environmental Dynamics and dual master's degrees in Agricultural Economics and Geography from the University of Arkansas.
