Shintaro Kaido

Council Member at Activate

Shintaro Kaido, RTTP, CLP, currently serves as a Board Member for the Ben Franklin Technology Development Authority, appointed by Governor Tom Wolf to oversee Pennsylvania's investment in technology-based economic development. Shintaro is also a member of the Leadership Council at Activate, which supports scientist entrepreneurs, and has held the position of Vice Provost for Innovation and Executive Director of Drexel Applied Innovation since September 2014, where efforts focus on enhancing innovation and entrepreneurship at Drexel University. Additionally, Shintaro serves as a Fellow at Kauffman Fellows and co-founded Synercon Technologies, while previously directing the i2E Immersion Accelerator and working in various roles at Westinghouse Electric Company, Duff & Phelps, and IBM. Shintaro holds an MBA from UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School and a BS in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University.
