Yet-Ming Chiang

Yet-Ming Chiang is a Professor at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), where involvement in the Department of Materials Science and Engineering has contributed to the advancement of the field since 1985. As a co-founder and Chief Scientist at Sublime Systems and Form Energy, Inc., Chiang focuses on innovative solutions to reduce CO2 emissions in cement production and develop ultra-low-cost energy storage systems, respectively. Additionally, Chiang co-founded Desktop Metal and 24M Technologies, advocating for advancements in metal additive manufacturing and cost-effective lithium-ion battery technology. With another co-founder role at A123 Systems and AMSC, Chiang has played a pivotal role in leading developments in energy storage solutions and materials science.
