Richard Hicks has a strong background in media negotiation and purchasing. Richard began their career at Initiative in 1997, where they served as a Senior Media Spot Negotiator, responsible for negotiating rates and purchasing advertising time for TV, cable, and radio. After nine years with Initiative, they moved to ICON International, Inc. in 2007, where they continued their role as a Senior Media Spot Negotiator. In this position, they negotiated with sales representatives and station managers in the local cable, TV, and radio industry to secure advertising, while also accommodating client media plans within budget constraints. Finally, in 2010, they joined Active International as a Senior Media Market Specialist, where they focused on securing and purchasing local TV, cable, and radio campaigns for multiple clients.
Richard Hicks attended Newtown High School from 1970 to 1974, where they studied Auto Mechanics. Following high school, they pursued further education at Queensborough Community College of The City University of New York (CUNY) from 1975 to 1976, with a focus on Business Management.
