Acuity Insights (formerly Altus Assessments) is a Canadian company founded in 2014. Our company was founded on 15 years of research by co-founders Kelly Dore (Ph.D.) and Harold Reiter (M.D MEd), who invented our first higher education admissions product, Casper, at McMaster University in Ontario. For the over 700,000 students who’ve taken one of our Casper admissions tests, we are making the process fairer and more equitable and reducing demographic differences so the right students get the right chance to pursue their dreams. In 2021 we acquired a healthcare education software company, One45, expanding our offerings beyond admission to program experience and analytics. Acuity’s analytics and program experience products integrate various sources of data and serve up dashboards and reports that provide a complete picture of the program and learners so programs know what actions to take to improve their program and drive their desired outcomes. Mission: Acuity is on a mission to create a world served by exceptional professionals. We do that by helping higher education institutions select, nurture and graduate the most well-rounded students with technical and social skills, ensuring that when they enter the workplace as physicians, teachers, or any other professional, they are equipped to serve our communities with social intelligence and cultural competency.
