Heather Collins is a seasoned scientist with extensive experience in biomarker development, assay validation, and sequencing technologies. Currently serving as a Scientist I and Senior Research Scientist at Adaptive Biotechnologies Corp., Heather has developed protocols for PCR bias controls and collaborated with various teams to enhance reagent manufacturing processes. Prior roles include Staff Scientist I positions at Covance and LabCorp Clinical Trials, where Heather contributed to the development of SNP assays and established NGS protocols, as well as engagement in client interactions during biomarker discovery phases. Previous experience at Covance and Merck provided a foundation in high-throughput sample processing and laboratory management. Heather holds a B.S. in Cellular and Molecular Biology from the University of Washington.
