Pu Zhang

Pu Zhang is an experienced professional in the field of battery technology, currently serving as Chief Product Officer at Adden Energy since September 2024, focusing on fast charging and long cycle life solid-state battery development. Prior to this role, Pu Zhang was VP of R&D at Solid Power, Inc., where solid-state battery development was a primary responsibility from January 2019 to September 2024. Pu Zhang has also held significant positions at Navitas Systems, LLC, including Director of Research and Principal Scientist, leading teams in advanced lithium-ion and solid-state battery research, and managing contracts. As Principal Research Scientist and Group Leader at A123 Systems, Pu Zhang directed efforts in material development and coating processes for lithium-ion batteries. Earlier experience includes work as Senior Research Scientist at T/J Technologies, focusing on high energy electrode materials for lithium-ion batteries and advanced catalysts for fuel cells. Pu Zhang holds a PhD in Chemistry from Brown University and both MS and BS degrees in Chemistry from Peking University.
