Jurgen Hannak

Jurgen Hannak is an experienced expert in resource efficiency and environmental management, currently serving as the Head of Programme for Circular Economy at Adelphi since August 2017. Hannak has a strong background in sustainability management, particularly within the textile, leather, plastic, and e-waste sectors, with experience across various regions including Europe, Asia, Africa, the Middle East, and the Caribbean. Prior to this role, Hannak held positions at INTEGRATION Consulting Group focusing on environmental compliance in the textile and leather industries, and served as an independent consultant. Early career highlights include project management at Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) on chemical safety and pollution control, as well as significant roles with UNIDO. Academic qualifications include a Doctorate in Social and Economic Sciences and an MBA in Industrial Management from Leopold-Franzens Universität Innsbruck, as well as field research at The University of Hong Kong.
