Gerson Vizcarra

Gerson Vizcarra currently serves as the Head of the AI Unit and AI technical lead at Banco Bci since June 2023, and holds a position as an artificial intelligence lecturer at UTP Universidad Tecnológica del Perú since August 2023. Previously, Gerson Vizcarra was an AI technical lead at Nisum from May 2022 to June 2023 and worked as a machine learning researcher at the Research Institute of the Peruvian Amazon from September 2019 to September 2020, where contributions included the proposal of protocols for image acquisition and the implementation of pre-trained models. An internship at Unifesp - Universidade Federal de São Paulo in 2019 focused on developing interpretable models for chronic pain detection in videos. Gerson Vizcarra holds a Master's degree in Computer Science from Universidad Católica San Pablo and a Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering from Universidad Nacional del Altiplano.
