Denise Horn serves as the Head of Community Support at Adoption UK since July 2019, focusing on support for adoptive families and professionals in Scotland. Denise's extensive experience includes roles as Senior Development Officer for Strategic Partnerships at EVOC, where responsibilities included coordination of the Third Sector Strategy Group and participation in various local leadership teams. Previous positions encompass project management and consultancy roles across marketing and business development with organizations such as the Edinburgh Chamber of Commerce and learndirect Scotland. Denise holds multiple postgraduate diplomas in marketing and a Master’s degree in Tourism Food and Hospitality, complementing a strong foundation in engineering.

Adoption UK is the leading charity providing support, awareness and understanding for those parenting or supporting children who cannot live with their birth parents. Created over 40 years ago by adopters for adopters; now with over 10,000 members we provide a strong supportive community and the largest voice of adoption in the UK. Our services are unique because they are developed by adoptive families for adoptive families. We campaign tirelessly to ensure that adoptive families receive the support and encouragement they need to help make adoptions work.
