Tom Byrne has had a progressive career, starting as the President and CEO of The Korea Society in 2015. In 2016, they became an Adjunct Professor at Columbia University in the City of New York. Tom continued their academic career as an Adjunct Professor at Georgetown University in 2017. In 2023, they served as the Honorary Ambassador for KOTRA and as a Senior Adviser for Acreditus. Additionally, in 2022, they became a Member of the Bretton Woods Committee.
From 1981 to 1983, Tom Byrne attended the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS), where they pursued a Master of Arts (MA) degree in International Relations and Economics.
