Marcelo Sampaio

Marcelo Sampaio has extensive work experience in supply chain management and procurement. Marcelo has held various leadership positions in reputable companies such as Advanced Drainage Systems, Forum Energy Technologies, Enseada Shipbuilding, FMC Technologies, Schlumberger, and Consplan Bahia.

At Advanced Drainage Systems, Marcelo served as the Vice President of Supply Chain - Sourcing and Procurement. Marcelo was responsible for transforming strategic sourcing and procurement functions, material planning and logistics, and supplier development. Marcelo also led the expansion strategy and execution of inbound and inter-plant logistics for recycled raw materials.

Prior to that, at Forum Energy Technologies, Marcelo held the role of Global Supply Chain Director for two different business segments. Marcelo optimized strategic and tactical operational performance to support triple-digit revenue growth plans. Marcelo managed S&OP, procurement, sourcing, logistics, and supplier quality functions.

At Enseada Shipbuilding, Marcelo served as the Executive Director of Supply Chain and Senior Manager of the Project Management Office. Marcelo also held various roles at FMC Technologies, including Business Development and Projects Manager, Supply Chain Manager - Western Hemisphere, Global Sourcing Manager, Procurement and Supplier Quality Manager, and Senior Business Analyst.

Marcelo started their career as a Construction Manager at Consplan Bahia and later worked as an Engineering Services Manager at Schlumberger.

Throughout their career, Marcelo has demonstrated strong leadership skills and a strategic approach to supply chain management, with experience in managing large budgets and international teams.

Marcelo Sampaio completed an Executive Education Program in Supply Chain Management at INSEAD in 2018. In 2021, they also completed an Executive Education program in Communication and Leadership at Harvard Business School. Prior to that, they earned a Master of Business Administration in Global Management from the Thunderbird School of Global Management in 2001. In 1999, they completed the Lee Iacocca Institute Global Village program in International Business at Lehigh University. Marcelo Sampaio's educational background also includes a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Universidade Federal da Bahia, completed from 1991 to 1995.
