Advanced Electric Machines
Mark Johnson has extensive experience in power electronics and holds a personal Chair at The University of Nottingham. MARK has been the Power Electronics Director at Advanced Electric Machines since November 2021. Previously, from 2006 to 2020, they served as the Director of the EPSRC Centre for Power Electronics and led the Advanced Propulsion Centre thematic spoke in Power Electronics.
Mark Johnson attended the University of Cambridge from 1983 to 1986, where they obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering. After completing their undergraduate studies, they continued their education at the same institution and earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Power Electronics from the University of Cambridge between 1986 and 1990.

AEM is focused on putting Britain ahead in the global race for the development of new low carbon propulsion technologiesaiming to use a UK manufacturing base to export products all over the world.
