Advanced Input Systems (AIS) is a premier designer and manufacturer of Human Machine eXperience (HMX) products and solutions, catering to a diverse range of markets and applications. We excel in creating both standard products and OEM custom solutions, including electro-mechanical assemblies and immersive products such as virtual reality and electronic wearables, infection control products, medical and industrial display interfaces and control panels, and touchscreen displays. As a Master Scheduler at Advanced Input Systems, you will lead our SIOP process, optimize resource allocation, and contribute to the seamless flow of our manufacturing processes. Your role is instrumental in meeting customer demands, reducing lead times, and ensuring the efficient utilization of resources. Collaboration with various departments, including production, supply chain, value stream and engineering, is essential to guarantee timely product delivery.

Duties/Responsibilities

SIOP Process:

  • Deployment and execution of an effective SIOP process.
  • Align Value Stream, Production, Supply Chain and the executive leadership team with mid- to long-term production forecasts and execution plans

Production Scheduling:

  • Lead team responsible for developing and managing production schedules based on customer orders, production capacity, material, and resource availability.
  • Collaborate with production and supply chain personnel to align schedules with technological requirements and product specifications.
  • Coordinate with procurement to ensure the timely availability of procured components.

Capacity Planning:

  • Conduct regular assessments of production capacity, identifying opportunities for operational enhancements.
  • Proactively address potential bottlenecks and streamline the production process.

Inventory and Quality Management:

  • Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with supply chain and inventory control teams to prevent shortages or excess stock.

Data Analysis and Continuous Improvement:

  • Utilize data analytics to assess production trends, identify areas for improvement, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Monitor sales forecasts and firm customer orders to identify deviations from annual budget and previous SIOP forecasts
  • Provide insights into production performance and adherence to schedules.

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Oversees the daily workflow of the production scheduling team, removing barriers when necessary.
  • Provides constructive and timely performance management.
  • Participates in the hiring and training of new staff in the department.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in master scheduling within a global manufacturing environment, preferably in electronic or relevant technology manufacturing.
  • APICS CPIM/CSCP Certification or equivalent
  • Proficiency in using scheduling software and familiarity with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems (Infor SyteLine experience highly preferred).
  • Experience in demand planning/forecasting &/or direct S&OP roles
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment with a focus on innovation and continuous improvement.

Education and Experience

  • BA or BS in Business, Operations Management, Engineering, or a related field. Master’s degree, preferred
  • Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in SIOP leadership and production scheduling within a manufacturing environment.
