Alimul Hoque

Alimul Hoque is a seasoned technology expert with extensive experience in engineering and architecture, particularly in the fields of FPGA-based acceleration solutions and high-performance computing. Currently serving as Lead Architect at AMD since 2017, Alimul focuses on developing hyper-scale acceleration solutions for compute, networking, and machine learning/AI workloads. Previously, from 2000 to 2016, Alimul held multiple positions at Intel Corporation, including Lead Systems Engineer where leadership in platform engineering was exemplified, integrating FPGA into the x86 ecosystem and driving the development of ML accelerator technology. Alimul also architected high-performance compute platforms, designed embedded systems for consumer devices, and contributed to innovations such as the HDMT-S HVM tester. Academically, Alimul earned a Master's degree in Computer Systems Engineering from Northeastern University, with research and publications in machine learning, image processing, and computer vision.
