Asitav Mishra

Asitav Mishra is a seasoned aerospace engineer currently serving as a Senior Member of Technical Staff at AMD, focusing on the porting and optimization of scientific applications for AMD GPU systems since January 2022. Concurrently, Asitav is a committee member of the AIAA Applied Aerodynamics Technical Committee from June 2020. Prior experience includes a role as Sr. Research Engineer at the National Institute of Aerospace, where contributions involved GPU-accelerated hypersonic flow solver kernels and the development of a multi-disciplinary optimization framework. Asitav has held research positions at prestigious institutions, including the University of Maryland College Park and the University of Michigan, where significant advancements in computational fluid dynamics and optimization techniques were achieved. Educational qualifications include a Doctor of Philosophy in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Maryland, a Master of Science from the Indian Institute of Science, and a Bachelor of Technology from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras.
