Alex Tennant

Alex Tennant has extensive experience in the fields of software engineering and research and development, primarily in subsea navigation technologies. Currently serving as the Head of Subsea R&D at Advanced Navigation since March 2014, Alex has held positions including Subsea Software Manager and R&D Engineer, focusing on product and software design for subsea navigation equipment. Prior to this role, Alex was the Director and Head of Software Engineering at McDermont Engineering, where responsibilities included electronic integration, system design, and managing software development teams. Additionally, experience as an R&D Engineer at Cyber Technology involved real-time embedded system development, while earlier work as an Electrical Engineer at Elecmec Pty Ltd entailed PLC and SCADA programming and electrical system design.
