Elan Burman

Elan Burman is the Associate Vice President of Philanthropy and Donor Relations at Adventist HealthCare, a position held since April 2021, where responsibilities include leading major gifts fundraising, enhancing charitable giving strategies, and overseeing system initiatives. Previously, Elan served as the Director of Philanthropy & Donor Relations for Post-Acute Care at Adventist HealthCare and held key roles at the University of Maryland Hillel, including Assistant Director and Lead Development Professional, where significant capital campaign and major gift solicitation projects were executed. Other notable positions include Director of Planned Giving and Major Gifts at The Jewish Federation of Greater Washington, Deputy Executive Director with the United Jewish Campaign of Cape Town, and various roles at Maryland Hillel and the United Jewish Campaign. Elan's educational background includes pursuing an MBA in Health Care Management from The Johns Hopkins University, along with advanced degrees in Information Systems and Jewish Communal Service from Northwestern University and Brandeis University, respectively, and a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Cape Town.
