Owen Wu

Owen Wu is an accomplished venture investor and entrepreneur with extensive experience in the high-tech and semiconductor industries. As an Angel Investor at Sand Hill Angels since December 2018, Owen Wu supports startups through venture investment. In parallel, Owen Wu has served as President of DNT International Inc. since January 2005, focusing on advanced technologies for human health. Notably, Owen Wu founded and led Global Communication Semiconductors, Inc. as CEO and CSO, establishing a successful compound semiconductor foundry that went public in Taiwan. Earlier, Owen Wu held significant roles at Hughes Research Laboratory and Gould Research Center, contributing to advanced infrared detector applications and material characterization for microelectronics. Owen Wu holds a PhD and MS in Physical Chemistry from the University of Illinois Chicago and a BS in Chemistry from National Tsing Hua University.
