Shawn McLeod MSMI is a professional medical illustrator with extensive experience in the field, currently working at SymBIOtic Biomedical Communications since May 2017 and also serving as a medical illustrator for Advocacy Digital Media. In addition to these roles, Shawn has been the business owner of SymBIOtic Biomedical Communications since January 2017 and has contributed as a medical illustrator at Augusta University since August 2015. Prior to this, Shawn worked as a surgical assistant at Thousand Oaks Oral Surgery from June 2008 to 2015, gaining hands-on experience in patient care. Shawn McLeod holds a Master of Science in Medical Illustration from Augusta University and a combined Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences and Bachelor of Arts in Studio Art from UC Santa Barbara.
