Denise M. Berger

Denise M. Berger, FAIA, FRICS, currently serves as the Chief Strategy & Innovation Officer for the East Region and the Chief Operating Officer for the Northeast Region at AECOM, a position held since February 2020. Prior to this role, Denise spent nearly two decades at The Port Authority of New York & New Jersey, advancing through various positions including Chief of Operations and Assistant Chief Engineer, as well as holding the titles of Deputy Chief Engineer in Engineering Management Services and General Manager of Strategic Planning. Denise began their tenure at The Port Authority in 1987 as an Architect and later served as Senior Program Director for the Capital Programs in the World Trade Department. Denise earned a Bachelor of Architecture, cum laude, from the New York Institute of Technology, graduating in 1987.
