David joined AEI in 2004 and partnered in the start-up operations and opening of the first AEI office in Dallas, and later the second office in Houston. David is an established professional with a diverse background within the CRE risk advisory realm. His direct project experience has included full scale CRE consulting including environmental due diligence, site mitigation, structural and property condition, capital planning, zoning, surveys, and construction risk on commercial real estate M&A, equity/acquisition investments, special and distressed assets, REO’s, open state/federal environmental cases, CMBS, SBA, Freddie/Fannie, HUD, and USDA backed programs. He has supported and advised on numerous high-profile CRE transactions both in the U.S. and internationally. David focuses on consulting and advising national and international CRE clients including various lenders, life companies, REITs, equity, brokerages, investment groups, and both short and long-term asset holders.
David customizes and guides clients on numerous projects and portfolios across the U.S., also including Canada, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Costa Rica, Panama, Aruba, Bahamas, Dominican Republic and Caribbean. In addition to advising clients, David also focuses on Client educational sessions on CRE and lending risk policy, and has aided in the development of lender risk policy and has helped several lender clients navigate policy convergence involved in large bank mergers.
David earned his B.S. in Environmental Science from Stephen F. Austin State University, with an emphasis in Land Use & Planning.
