Jean-Emmanuel Roty has a diverse work experience in various engineering roles. Jean-Emmanuel started their career at MANN+HUMMEL Group as an Intern, where they worked on a production line of containers for air filters. Jean-Emmanuel then interned at OROLIA, where they gained R&D experience. After that, they joined the European Space Agency as a Solar Orbiter - Payload Systems Engineering Intern. Jean-Emmanuel later joined Aerospacelab, where they worked as a Payload Systems Engineering Intern and then transitioned to the role of Space System Engineer. Currently, they are employed at Aerospacelab as a System Engineer.

Jean-Emmanuel Roty began their education at Lycée Naval, where they pursued a French Baccalaureat with a focus on Sciences from 2013 to 2015. Following this, they attended Ecole Supérieure des Techniques Aéronautiques et de Construction Automobile, from 2015 to 2021, where they obtained an Engineering degree in Mechanical engineering in Aeronautics/Aerospace. In 2019, they had a semester abroad at École de technologie supérieure, specializing in Aerospace and Astronautical Engineering. In addition to their formal education, Jean-Emmanuel Roty holds certifications from the International School of Space Optics, a program offered by the European Space Agency (ESA), and a TOEIC score of 975, obtained through ETS Global.
