Andres Garzon

Andres Garzon has a diverse work experience in the aerospace industry. Andres is currently working as a Sr Program Manager at AeroTEC - Aerospace Testing Engineering & Certification Inc. since August 2021. Prior to this, they worked at Aerion Supersonic from 2009 to 2021, holding various roles including Director of Aircraft Environmental Performance & Sustainable Technologies, Boomless Cruise IPT lead, Program Integration Manager, and Program Manager AS2. During their time at Aerion, they were responsible for building the core aero group, conducting flight testing for supersonic natural laminar flow and transonic natural laminar flow, developing techniques for transition detection, and supporting the laminar flow test campaign for supersonic wing design. Before joining Aerion, Andres worked as a Research Engineer at Aerion Corporation from 2004 to 2009.

Andres Garzon obtained their Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Universidad Nacional de Colombia. Andres then pursued a Master of Engineering in Engineering Physics/Applied Physics at the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya. Following this, they attended the von Karman Institute for Fluid Dynamics, where they completed a Master of Science degree in Fluid Dynamics Aerospace. Subsequently, they returned to the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya to pursue a D.E.A. in Fluid Mechanics and Applied Physics.
