Fernando de la Vega

Fernando De la Vega is a Senior Reliability Engineer at The AES Corporation since October 2018, specializing in Asset Management implementation and reliability-centered maintenance for AES Mexico's thermoelectric plants. Previously, as Asset & Engineer Manager from May 2014 to 2018 at AES TEG Operations, Fernando managed internal projects and capital investment portfolios while establishing asset management systems aligned with ISO 55001. Earlier experience includes serving as Materials Management Manager at AES TEG Operations, where significant improvements were made in safety indicators and resource optimization. Fernando’s professional journey began at Alstom Power as a commissioning engineer in 2002. Fernando holds an MBA and a Master's degree in Business Administration from Universidad Anáhuac, as well as a Master's degree in Environmental Engineering and a Bachelor's degree in Biology from Universidad del Noreste.
