Irina Kuneva, CSCP, is a seasoned procurement professional currently serving as the Global Category Manager & Strategic Sourcing for The AES Corporation since April 2017. In this role, Irina leverages industry expertise to design and implement category strategies, manage supplier relationships, and drive savings across global categories. Previous positions include Global Category Manager and Strategic Buyer at AES, where Irina successfully executed strategic sourcing initiatives and managed complex procurement projects, delivering significant budget savings. Prior experience includes a Purchasing Specialist role at FICOSOTA and Vitanov & Co, focusing on negotiating contracts and managing projects in the FMCG sector. Irina holds a Master’s degree in Economics from Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski and has a strong background in supplier management and strategic sourcing.
