Before joining General Motors, Rakesh had managerial roles at Larsen & Toubro Limited and Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Pvt. Ltd.

Prior to that, they pursued a Global Executive MBA (Honors) at Indiana University - Kelley School of Business and Sungkyunkwan University in 2011-2012.
