Kevin Pollock

Kevin Pollock is a highly experienced optical systems engineer with a robust background in research and consulting. Currently serving as a Senior Optical Systems Engineer at Aeva, Inc. since August 2019, Kevin previously held the position of Senior Scientist at Exponent, focusing on optical safety assessments of prototype laser devices. Kevin's academic foundation includes a PhD in Physical Chemistry from the University of California, Berkeley, where research revolved around photo-excited charge carriers for water splitting applications. Additional research experience includes a Fulbright Fellowship at the University of Konstanz, investigating chemical passivation methods for silicon wafers, and an NSF-REU fellowship at The University of Akron, developing synthesis methods for block copolymers. Kevin holds a Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry from Carleton College.
