Chris Alongi

Chris Alongi is a highly experienced optical engineer with a career spanning over two decades, currently serving as a Staff Optical Integration Engineer at AEye, Inc. since January 2022. Previous roles include Senior Optical Engineer at Sense Photonics, where Chris designed and executed test plans for prototype flash LiDAR systems, and Optical Engineer positions at Sanovas and Google, focusing on imaging system components and optical hardware engineering for Google Home products, respectively. Additional experience includes work at the Giant Magellan Telescope Organization, where Chris specified fabrication and test plans for mirror assemblies, and significant contributions as a Metrology Engineer at L-3 Communications for the JWST Telescope Mirrors. Chris holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Optical Engineering from the University of Arizona.
