Joel Benscoter

Joel Benscoter is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in advancing technology solutions, particularly in the autonomous vehicle sector. Currently serving as Sr Principal Systems Engineer and Sr. Director of Strategic Products at AEye, Inc., Joel has been instrumental in scaling the company from its initial customer during the seed round in 2016 to over 150 customers and achieving a market capitalization of $1.5 billion at its IPO in 2021. Previous roles include leading strategic initiatives and customer success at AEye, as well as holding key positions at Hewlett Packard Enterprise and KLA-Tencor, where Joel drove client implementations and product development. Joel holds a Master of Engineering Management degree from Valparaiso University and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering from DeVry University.
