Pieter Badenhorst

Pieter Badenhorst has extensive experience in legal and compliance roles, serving as Director of Legal and Compliance at AGH - Afgri Group Holdings from November 2008 to March 2017, where responsibilities included General Counsel and overseeing various legal, risk, and compliance functions. Prior to this, Pieter held the position of Head of the Office of the General Counsel at Absa Group from January 1997 to October 2008, focusing on specialized finance legal matters and corporate governance. Pieter's legal career began as a Candidate Attorney at Couzyn, Hertzog & Horak Attorneys from January 1995 to December 1996, engaging in litigation, conveyancing, and commercial law. Educational qualifications include a Master of Laws (LLM) in Banking and Stock Exchange Law from the University of Johannesburg and multiple degrees from North-West University, including a Bachelor of Commerce and a Bachelor of Laws.
