The African Youth Action Network (AYAN) is a youth-led organization fronting youth as champions for social and economic development. AYAN strives to be a dynamic organization that not only recognizes the unique challenges faced by displaced persons and refugee youth but also actively engages and supports them in realizing their full potential. AYAN is dedicated to cultivating and amplifying their individual, community, and national aspirations. Through collaborative initiatives, Livelihood opportunities, and advocacy, we aim to create a resilient and inclusive future for all young people across the African continent.

AYAN Thematic focus are; Peace Building and Leadership Development, Advocacy, Livelihoods and Enterprise Development. 

VISION: 
We envision a peaceful world offering youth an opportunity to participate and involve themselves in socio-economic development decisions and activities. 

MISSION: 
To harness and nurture refugees and young people’s personal, community and national aspirations to promote peace and development through informed, innovative and value driven approaches. 

We strive to be value-driven and commit to the following principles in all that we do: 
1.	Equity: We distribute resources and opportunities as needed by the youth to create equal development for all. 
2.	Transparency, Integrity and Accountability: We are open to youth in our processes and actions, we are accountable to our actions, and we serve the interest of the young people. 
3.	Social Justice: We ensure fair treatment and equitable status for all in our work.
