Michelle Tjeenk Willink currently serves as the Head of Partnerships and Communications at AFRIpads, focusing on the development of alternative revenue streams and maintaining product quality. As a Board Member at Learning Differently Limited, Michelle advocates for educational support for children with learning disorders. Previous consulting experience includes work with Twain Education, providing technical assistance on capacity building projects for NGOs and private sector clients, particularly in areas such as agribusiness and menstrual health. Michelle's extensive background in education includes roles at Aflatoun International, Rennert International, Kaplan International Colleges, and FLS International, where Michelle held various positions ranging from Education Director to ESL Instructor. Michelle holds a Master of Arts in Applied Linguistics from UMass Boston and a Bachelor of Arts in English and Spanish from the University of Arkansas.

By manufacturing the sanitary pads locally, we are contributing to the development of a Ugandan rural industry that empowers our 150 employees (90% female) with productive, gainful employment. Our mission is to empower women and girls through business, innovation and opportunity.
