Benedict Simpson

Benedict Simpson serves as the Thermal and Renewable Power Manager at AFRY Malaysia since May 2022, specializing in the development of thermal and renewable power projects in collaboration with Owners, Sponsors, and Lenders. Prior to this role, Benedict held various positions at Jacobs, including Renewables Lead for Power Development in Asia and Technical Advisor for Hydro and Thermal Projects, overseeing significant projects across Indonesia, Malaysia, Australia, and the Philippines. Experience includes managing technical advisory roles in numerous hydroelectric, thermal, gas, and solar power initiatives. Benedict's educational background comprises a Master of Engineering in Power Generation and dual Bachelor's degrees in Electrical Engineering and Electrical & Electronic Engineering from the University of Queensland and the University of Southern Queensland, respectively.
