Fredrik Kihlborg is a seasoned professional in product and software engineering with extensive experience in leadership roles across various companies. Currently serving as Business Unit Manager for Product & Software Engineering at AFRY since November 2021, Fredrik previously held the position of Manager for Control and Protection Software Integration at Hitachi ABB Power Grids, overseeing a team of 25 engineers dedicated to HDVC power transmission systems. Fredrik's prior roles include R&D Manager at LC-Tec, where Fredrik led the development of optical components, and Senior Scientist at Cambridge Display Technology, focusing on organic electronic components for medical devices. An academic background includes a Ph.D. in Organic Electronics and an MSc in Applied Physics and Electrical Engineering from Linköping University, complemented by published research and technology development experience at Thin Film Electronics and Linköping University.
