Tawfik Mahmoud has over 20 years of work experience in various roles within the financial and technology industries. Tawfik is currently employed as the Managing Director of Acquiring for Arab Financial Services. Prior to this, they served as a Managing Director for Jumia Group, where they oversaw JumiaPay operations in Egypt.
Before joining Jumia Group, Tawfik worked as the General Manager for PayTabs in the UAE. Tawfik also held multiple positions at Network International, including Vice President of Head of Acquiring Business for Africa and Associate Vice President of Head of Key Accounts Management for Acquiring Business.
Earlier in their career, Tawfik worked at Ahli United Bank Bahrain, where they were responsible for setting the strategic direction and managing the growth of Network International's Bahrain Acquiring business.
Tawfik's work experience also includes roles at Bedouin Moon Hotel as the Operations Manager and Front Office Manager, as well as at Henkel as a Sales and Marketing Specialist. Tawfik began their career as a Marketing Assistant at Vodafone Egypt.
Throughout their career, Tawfik has demonstrated expertise in managing key accounts, driving business growth, initiating marketing programs, and developing strategic plans. Tawfik has a strong background in sales, relationship management, and payment solutions within the Middle East and Africa regions.
Tawfik Mahmoud obtained a Bachelor's degree in Social Work from the Faculty of Social Work at the University of Aswan in Egypt from 1998 to 2002. Prior to that, they attended the Luxor military school from 1995 to 1997, focusing on Military and Strategic Leadership. Tawfik also holds additional certifications including being a Certified Team Leader from Harvard Business School and a Certified Relationship Manager from the Emirates Institute for Banking and Financial Studies (EIBFS) in 2015 and 2012 respectively.
