Jocelyn Wessels, Ph.D., is a co-founder and Chief Scientific Officer at Afynia Laboratories, a Canadian FemTech company focused on reproductive endocrinology and infertility. With extensive experience as a postdoctoral fellow at McMaster University, Jocelyn has conducted in-depth research on endometriosis, the endometrial microbiota, and the effects of cannabis on endometriosis-associated pain, alongside projects involving HIV transmission and contraceptive use. Jocelyn's expertise includes bioinformatics, microbiome analysis, clinical trial design, and grant writing. Academic qualifications include a Ph.D. in Medical Sciences from McMaster University, a Master of Science in Biomedical Sciences from the University of Guelph, and a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences, also from the University of Guelph.
