Agahozo-Shalom Youth Village
Matthew Matola, a Development Associate at Agahozo Shalom Youth Village, has a background in political science, government, and conflict resolution. With previous experience as an intern at the Center for International Policy, Matthew has worked on advocating for peace and diplomacy, as well as tracking diplomatic efforts between the United States and other countries. Matthew holds a Master's degree in Conflict, Security, and Development from King's College London.
Agahozo-Shalom Youth Village
Through healing, education, and love, the Agahozo-Shalom Youth Village (ASYV), empowers orphaned and vulnerable Rwandan youth, aged 14-21, to build lives of dignity and contribute to a better world. Founded in 2007 as a response to the persistent orphan crisis which arose in the aftermath of the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi in Rwanda, ASYV has provided more than 1,400 youth with a newfound hope for the future, including over 900 graduates now striving to make a positive difference in Rwanda and abroad.
