Ivan THOMAS

Ivan Thomas has a diverse work experience with a focus on managing and regulating frequencies for radio observation in the field of astronomy. Their most recent position was as a "Chargé de mission" at the Ministry in charge of higher education and research in France, where they represented the ministry in national and international frequency management and regulation organizations. Ivan also provided expertise to the scientific community, prepared ministry notes and positions, and managed state frequencies for radio observation of the universe.

Before that, Ivan served as a member of the Board of Directors at the National Frequency Agency (ANFR) and held various roles at the Paris Observatory, including being the National Frequency Manager for radio astronomy, responsible for the radioelectric protection of the Nançay observatory, and serving as a research and development project manager and radio frequency systems expert. Ivan also had a management role within the Observatory.

Prior to their work at the Observatory, Ivan worked as an electronics specialist at the National Center for Scientific Research (CNRS).

Overall, Ivan Thomas has a strong background in frequency management, regulation, and expertise in the field of radio observation of the universe.

Ivan Thomas completed their education at two different institutions. From 1986 to 1988, they attended Lycee Chevrollier and obtained a BTS degree in Electronics. Ivan then proceeded to enroll at Conservatoire National des Arts et Métiers, where they studied from 1993 to 1997 and obtained a Diplôme d'ingénieur in Electronics.
