Arun Kumar possesses extensive experience in procurement and strategic sourcing within the electric vehicle and manufacturing sectors. At Agratas since February 2024, Arun focuses on the procurement of EV battery pack components, engaging in global sourcing, supplier identification, commercial settlements, and development. Prior to Agratas, Arun served as a Strategic Sourcing Manager at Switch Mobility from November 2021 to February 2024, leading cost analysis and Zero Base Cost (ZBC) initiatives. Arun's earlier roles include Manager of sourcing and supply chain for electric vehicles at Ashok Leyland (November 2017 - November 2021), product development executive at TTK Prestige Ltd (November 2013 - November 2017), sourcing executive for sheet metal at Ashok Leyland (December 2011 - January 2013), and engineer in new product development at Thai Summit Group (June 2009 - November 2011). Arun holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering and a Diploma of Education in Mechanical Engineering from Adhiyamaan College of Education, Hosur.

Agratas is a wholly owned subsidiary of Tata Sons. We design, develop and manufacture high-quality, high-performance, sustainable batteries applied to multiple use cases in the mobility and energy sectors, to match our customers’ requirements. Agratas will also support its customers with the integration of cells into their applications, such as modules and packs. We have already secured two anchor customers, Tata Motors and JLR. They provide us with the scale to establish our global battery business. Agratas will be driven by our pursuit of green growth and technological progress. We will develop next-generation battery technologies at new R&D Innovation Hubs in India and the UK, collaborating with world-leading universities, research institutions and strategic partners. We are a scale-up business with a start-up mentality. Our name, derived from the Sanskrit word ‘Agra’, the world’s oldest language, stands for leadership.
