Agratas is a wholly owned subsidiary of Tata Sons. We design, develop and manufacture high-quality, high-performance, sustainable batteries applied to multiple use cases in the mobility and energy sectors, to match our customers’ requirements. Agratas will also support its customers with the integration of cells into their applications, such as modules and packs. We have already secured two anchor customers, Tata Motors and JLR. They provide us with the scale to establish our global battery business. Agratas will be driven by our pursuit of green growth and technological progress. We will develop next-generation battery technologies at new R&D Innovation Hubs in India and the UK, collaborating with world-leading universities, research institutions and strategic partners. We are a scale-up business with a start-up mentality. Our name, derived from the Sanskrit word ‘Agra’, the world’s oldest language, stands for leadership. It reflects our ambition to be purpose driven, pioneering power for future generations.
