Deepak Khare serves as the Vice President of Manufacturing Operations at Agratas since October 2023. Prior experience includes Head of Manufacturing Operations at Lucid Motors, overseeing the development and implementation of manufacturing strategies from August 2022 to September 2023. In the role of Vice President Operations at Johnson Controls-Hitachi Air Conditioning India Limited from November 2021 to August 2022, Deepak managed comprehensive plant operations and led a large team towards operational excellence. Previous roles at Ford Motor Company encompassed General Manager Manufacturing, where Deepak directed key operations of the Vehicle Operations plant for nearly a decade, and various managerial positions with increasing responsibilities within the organization from 2000 to 2021. A background in procurement quality at Airbus and supply chain management at Caterpillar Inc. further solidifies Deepak's extensive operational expertise, paired with a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra.

Agratas is a wholly owned subsidiary of Tata Sons. We design, develop and manufacture high-quality, high-performance, sustainable batteries applied to multiple use cases in the mobility and energy sectors, to match our customers’ requirements. We will accelerate the global transition to net zero by creating an industry-leading benchmark in sustainability. Our world-class gigafactories will be powered by purpose-built renewable energy plants. We will also embed circular economy processes throughout our value chain to reuse, recycle and recover materials back into production. We will serve customers in Passenger Vehicle, Commercial Vehicle, 2 and 3 Wheeler and Energy Storage Solution (ESS) industries, supplying state-of-the-art high energy density NMC and long lasting LFP battery cells. Agratas will also support its customers with the integration of cells into their applications, such as modules and packs. We have already secured two anchor customers, Tata Motors and JLR. They provide us with the scale to establish our global battery business. Agratas will be driven by our pursuit of green growth and technological progress. We will develop next-generation battery technologies at new R&D Innovation Hubs in India and the UK, collaborating with world-leading universities, research institutions and strategic partners. We are a scale-up business with a start-up mentality. Our name, derived from the Sanskrit word ‘Agra’, the world’s oldest language, stands for leadership. It reflects our ambition to be purpose driven, pioneering power for future generations.
