Karthik Santhanamoorthy serves as the General Manager of Global Procurement at Agratas Energy Storage Solutions since February 2024, with a strong background in sourcing and supply chain management across various automotive and electric vehicle sectors. Prior roles include Head of Sourcing and Supply Chain at Tivolt Electric Vehicles, and General Manager of Sourcing and Supply Chain for New Mobility at Reliance Industries Limited, where responsibilities encompassed developing sourcing strategies for advanced technologies in electric and hydrogen mobility. Karthik has substantial experience from key positions at Ashok Leyland and Ford Motor Company, focusing on sourcing strategies, supplier selection, and cost management for both conventional and electric vehicle components. Karthik holds a PGPM FLEX in Operations & Analytics from Great Lakes Institute of Management and a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from Anna University Chennai.

Agratas is a wholly owned subsidiary of Tata Sons. We design, develop and manufacture high-quality, high-performance, sustainable batteries applied to multiple use cases in the mobility and energy sectors, to match our customers’ requirements. We will accelerate the global transition to net zero by creating an industry-leading benchmark in sustainability. Agratas will also support its customers with the integration of cells into their applications, such as modules and packs. We have already secured two anchor customers, Tata Motors and JLR. They provide us with the scale to establish our global battery business. Agratas will be driven by our pursuit of green growth and technological progress. We will develop next-generation battery technologies at new R&D Innovation Hubs in India and the UK, collaborating with world-leading universities, research institutions and strategic partners. We are a scale-up business with a start-up mentality. Our name, derived from the Sanskrit word ‘Agra’, the world’s oldest language, stands for leadership. It reflects our ambition to be purpose driven, pioneering power for future generations.
