Jorge Franco

Jorge Franco currently serves as the Colombia COO and Projects Manager at AGUNSA, where responsibilities include acting as an agent for ZIM, PIL, and Höegh Autoliners since March 2022. Previously, Jorge held various managerial roles at Hamburg Süd from February 2013 to February 2022, including Colombia Customer Experience Manager, Documentation and Transhipment Manager, Manager of Cost Control for the Caribbean and Latin America West Coast, and Vessel Planner. Earlier in his career, Jorge was the Chief Mate for Offshore Operations at Grupo Coremar and served as Captain/Chief Mate at Intertug S. A. Jorge's foundational experience includes a tenure as a Navy Officer at Armada Colombia. Educational qualifications encompass a Master's Degree in Project Management from Université du Québec à Chicoutimi, a Postgraduate Degree in International Business from Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana, a BSc in Naval Science from Admiral Padilla Naval School, and additional executive education at INALDE Business School.
