Justin Weiss has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Justin is currently working as a Principal Software Engineer at Aha!, a self-funded and highly profitable SaaS company. Justin'sresponsibilities include providing the world's #1 product development software. Prior to this, Justin founded Guided Code, LLC in 2014, where they published numerous Rails articles and wrote a book called Practicing Rails, generating significant revenue. From 2007 to 2017, they worked at Avvo in various roles, including Director of Engineering, R&D, Dev Manager, and Software Developer. Justin played a crucial role in the development of customer-facing products and was responsible for setting priorities and strategies. Before that, they worked at Microsoft as a Software Design Engineer and at the University of Illinois as a Web Application Designer. Additionally, they worked briefly as a Fixed Income Summer Analyst at Lehman Brothers and as a News Director for RPGamer, where they managed a remote team and oversaw news articles.
Justin Weiss received their B.S. degree in Computer Science from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in 2005.
