Amir Azar has over 15 years of work experience in various roles related to user experience, design, and leadership. Amir is currently working as the Head of User Experience at Ahold Delhaize since 2022. Prior to this, they worked at VodafoneZiggo as a Manager UX from 2019 to 2022, where they also held positions as a Digital Art Director and Senior UX/UI/VD Designer. Before VodafoneZiggo, they worked at SNS Bank as a Senior UX/UI/VD Designer from 2011 to 2016. Amir also co-owned Azar.nl from 2009 to 2014 and worked as a Webdesigner at Sogeti from 2008 to 2011. Additionally, they gained experience as a Test Engineer at Polteq from 2007 to 2008.
Amir Azar holds a Bachelor's degree and a Bachelor Engineer in Human Technology from Hanzehogeschool Groningen / Hanze University of Applied Sciences Groningen. Amir has also obtained additional certifications in UX Strategy, Leading Highly Effective UX Teams, Giving and receiving feedback, and Infographics.
