Verena Aumiller

Verena Aumiller is an experienced scientific professional currently serving as the VP of Scientific Programs at Aignostics since May 2024. Prior to this role, Verena held multiple positions at Silence Therapeutics plc from October 2018 to May 2024, including Director of R&D Project Lead for Early Development and Principal Scientist for Drug Discovery projects. Verena's earlier experience includes leading international projects at Die Grünenthal Gruppe in pain and inflammation, as well as roles at Boehringer Ingelheim focusing on inflammation and respiratory therapeutic areas. Verena began their postdoctoral research at Helmholtz Munich and LMU - Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München, where Verena obtained a Ph.D. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from FAU Erlangen-Nürnberg, culminating in a Master's degree in the same field.
