Michel Lebel

Michel Lebel is an accomplished professional with over 20 years of experience in financial risk management, data analytics, and investment management. Currently serving as the Director of Total Fund Risk Data and Analytics at Alberta Investment Management Corporation (AIMCo) since March 2024, Michel previously worked as a consultant focusing on risk, data, and analytics from November 2022 to March 2024. At PSP Investments from 2011 to 2022, Michel held multiple leadership roles, including Managing Director of Data and Analytics and Managing Director of Public Market Risk, where responsibilities included creating an analytics function and managing teams focused on risk management and derivatives. Prior roles include positions at Desjardins, Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec, and Aon Consulting. Michel holds an M.Sc. in Financial Engineering from HEC Montréal and a B.Sc. in Mathematics from Université de Montréal.
