Karen Basian is the current director at Aimia. Prior to this, they were the co-founder and CEO of Beehive5 from November 2010 to December 2015. Before that, they were with goeasy Ltd. Karen also worked as the Chief Strategy and Business Development Officer at McCain Foods Limited from July 2006 to October 2011. There, they developed a growth strategy that doubled the business in 5 years. Karen also identified a strategy to deliver 30% cost reduction and 20% improvement in network utilization. In addition, they developed an M&A strategy and completed 4 acquisitions and 2 global partnerships to deliver over $1Bn in revenue. Karen also created a global innovation program and built a proprietary pipeline of product and technology to support "Better For You" and core growth agendas and new business channels. Prior to McCain Foods, Karen was with Kognitiv Corporation.
Karen Basian has an MBA from IMD and a Hons BA in Business Admin from Ivey Business School at Western University.
